Must the elevator be stopped during the waterproofing process?
Yes, for safety reasons. We must coordinate with the elevator maintenance company to raise the cabin to the upper floors and disconnect the power supply to the lower pit while our insulation team is working inside.
Water is gushing out and won’t stop. Will regular plastering and cement work?
Not at all. Regular cement or standard waterproofing additives will wash away before they even dry and cannot withstand the negative hydrostatic pressure of groundwater. How long does the insulation process take for a single elevator pit?
